Sharron L. Pivetta

Sharron L. (DuBray) Pivetta, of Lyon Mountain, New York, passed away November 24th, 2020, surrounded by her loving husband and children.

She was born on April 18th, 1944, the daughter of Ernest DuBray and Hazel (Marshall) DuBray.

Sharron graduated from Lyon Mountain High School in June, 1962. She married the love of her life at the age of 18, Americo “Ves” Pivetta, and raised four children. Sharron was a music lover, played saxophone from 7th grade, and played piano and organ at the Lyon Mountain Methodist Church for over 50 years. She loved to sing, especially with her special friend, Myrt Siskavich and all the girls. Sharron was also a member, past President and Secretary of the Lyon Mountain American Legion Auxiliary, and known in the community for her smile, kindness, and her famous lemon pies. She was also an avid yankees fan and enjoyed watching games with her husband.

Sharron is survived by her husband of 58 years, two sons, Michael Pivetta and Jerry Pivetta (Domisita Pivetta) and a daughter, Andrea Pivetta-Bull. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Marshall DuBray and Bernadette DuBray, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a great nephew.

She was predeceased by her parents, a son, Mark Anthony Pivetta, a grandson, Logan Michael Pivetta, a great-granddaughter, Mona June Norkun, a niece Jean Marie (DuBray) Pulsifer, and her in-laws, Angelo and Teresa Pivetta.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lyon Mountain Methodist Church, attention Joan Juntunen. 

Calling hours will be Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 at the Lyon Mountain Methodist Church. A celebration of her life will follow at 3:00 p.m.  Arrangements are being handled by Ross Funeral Home, 2586 State Route 11, Mooers, NY 12958.
