Simonne B. Monette, 99 of Rouses Point passed away, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at UVM Health Network at CVPH in Plattsburgh.
She was born December 20, 1921 in Champlain, the daughter of Eximer and Ida (Bechard) Boire. She was a homemaker and she loved to bake pies for the St. Mary’s Bazaar. She was very active with the bazaar. She was also a dairy farmer for many years.
Simonne was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; three sisters, Yvonne Santimaw, Paula Grimshaw and Jane Zmudzinski; one brother, Stanley Boire and one son in law, Richard O’Connor.
Left to cherish memories of Simonne are two daughters, Karen O’Connor of Chazy, Sandra Hall and her husband, Bill of Fremont, Michigan; one brother, Gerald Boire and his wife Liz of Champlain; one sister, Stella Quelch of Alexandria, Virginia; five grandchildren, Erin (J.W.) Johnson, Keri O’Connor and her fiance, Marc Calixte, Bill (Cheri) Hall Jr., Neil (Amy) Hall and Lindsay (Chris) MacLeod. She is further survived by 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Champlain Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Mooers.
