Walter N. LaPan, 74 of Champlain passed away December 1, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 4, 1948 in Champlain, the son of Joseph and Leona (Baker) LaPan. His mother passed away giving birth. He was raised by Mary and Dean Linsley.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Denise, Roger, Gary, Franchise, Diane, Charlie, Carol, Paul and Merritt.

Left to cherish memories of Walter are his wife of 52 years, Sheila; son, Walter (Brittany) and Tammy (Kenny); his grandchildren, Felicia, Kyle, Stormi, Patricia Marie, Chris, David, Zachary, Kaiden, Madalynn, Brook, Jay, Alexis, Jamie, Corie, Breann and Brittany; his sister, Pauline; brothers, Henry and Dean; brother in law and sister in law, Lenard and Connie.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.
