Weldon Dragoon Obituary
SCIOTA- For one who likes to be out on the coldest days of the year, it is fitting that Weldon's soul left this world on the frigid morning of December 16, 2016. He was 82.
It was a very cold day on December 28, 1933 when Weldon Grant Dragoon was born in Rutland, Vermont to Grant and Madine (Gonyo) Dragoon. Growing up in Sciota, New York, Weldon had a sister, Patricia Poissant and a foster brother, Ralph Corron. Weldon genuinely loved hard manual work that was involved in establishing his family farm alongside his wife, Theresa (Boulerice). They were married June 27, 1959 and raised three children. Weldon filled his days with his passions of working the land, managing the woods, establishing a maple sugar bush, hunting and riding his four-wheeler. Weldon made every day an adventure, and, with the exception of carrying out a well-planned practical joke, he loved nothing more than sharing his adventures with his family and friends. Weldon is predeceased by his parents; his sister, Patricia Poissant and her husband Homer and his loving wife Theresa.
Survivors include, one son, Michael Dragoon and his wife Amy of Sciota; two daughters, Catherine Blondo and her husband, Todd of Altona, Lisa Brothers and her husband, Mark of Chazy; his grandchildren, Ryan Blondo and his wife Maria, Trevor Blondo and his wife Misty, Benjamin Dragoon and his wife Cassandra, Kimberly, Kayla and Nicholas Dragoon and Justin and Zachary Brothers; great-grandchildren, Weldon and Rosa Blondo, Sawyer and Finley Blondo, Colten and Hudson Dragoon and Weldon's foster brother, Ralph Corron and his wife Carol.
