William John Duprey

William John Duprey, 83 of Chazy passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side.  

He was born April 14, 1937 in Plattsburgh, the son of Perlie and Ruth (Lucia) Duprey.  He was a self employed dairy farmer.  He enjoyed farming, driving tractors, cutting wood and fishing.  

He is predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Leon Duprey and his wife, Hope.

Left to cherish memories of Bill are, his wife, Sally of Chazy; his children, Ruth C. Bechard and her husband, Larry of Champlain; Alan J.  Duprey and his wife, Danielle of Chazy; Pamela P. Duprey and her companion, Lenny Anderson of Albany; Daniel P. Duprey of Chazy; Lisa M. King and her husband, Dick of Chazy; Tina M. Duprey of Chazy; eight grandchildren, Melissa Gooley and her husband, Robert, Danette Friedrich and her husband, John, Saania Brindisi and her husband, Nicholas, Nicholas Bechard and his wife, Elizabeth, Ryan Bechard, Felicia Bourgeois, Hayden King and Devain Duprey.  Bill is further survived by eight great grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19, only close friends and family of William are asked to visit Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 10:30-11:15 a.m.  A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Mooers.  

Arrangements are in the care of the Ross Funeral home, 2586 Route 11 in Mooers.
