Yancy J. LaValley, 61 of Mooers passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at his home.
He was born February 8, 1959 in Plattsburgh, the son of Albert and Gertrude (Arquette) LaValley. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, and cutting wood. He especially enjoyed playing spades with his nephews, Ben and Lee, Jr. while watching Monday Night Raw.
He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Catherine Snide and one nephew, Brad LaBombard.
Left to cherish memories of Yancy are, one son, Yancy Jr. of Fulton, NY; one daughter, Crystal LaValley of Fulton, NY; his siblings, Loralee LaBombard and Donald Cayea of Lyon Mountain, Gail and Edward Servidas of Naugatuck, CT, Lee Sr. and Kathleen LaValley of Ellenburg Center, NY, Mark and Toni LaValley of Plattsburgh, NY; one grandchild; several nieces and nephews, Ruby, April, Dawn, Angela, Eddie III, Adam, Joey, Lee, Jr., Chris, Nick, Ben, Markus, Ashley, Dereck, Dustin and Andrea.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 4:00-6:30 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 at the Ross Funeral Home.
